Urban microclimate for the inner courtyard of an office building including evaporative cooling (from trees, grass, bushes), solar radiation, wind etc. with full interaction with buildings and terrain and felt temperatures including effect of radiation, humidity, air temperature and wind velocity. Three scenarios DESERT-REAL-JUNGLE were calculated with increasing amount of green architecture. Due to the low ventilation in the courtyard, slightly lower air temperatures are nullified by increased moisture and slower air flow, so that greening has little effect in this scenario. Shading and improved air flow (not shown) would be more effective.
