Incoming wind is calculated with the average, historic Weibull velocity of that wind direction. Wind velocity over terrain is color coded and displayed in meters per second. Arrows show wind direction. Yearly averages are weighted for direction and are available 1.5m, 5m and 10m over ground.

Power density is the wind power at the indicated hub height. It is calculated using average, weighted Weibull velocities from 16 wind directions at the indicated height. The synoptic (surface-independent) wind-input values were taken from global re-analyzed wind models. The actual wind power that can be harvested in a particular location depends on the power curve of the used wind turbine and will be smaller than the indicated power. Please note, that wind velocities can vary considerably between seasons and years in most locations.
